Decorating

I want to decorate my master bathroom like an old hollywood dressing room. The room is small (like an alley) so I couldn't fit in a chaise louge or anything. I have double sinks, crappy flooring I'm willing to rip up but I don't know where to start with decor, light fixtures other than the Hollywood lights that go around the mirrors that have the large globe bulbs which I do not like. What about paint color, shower curtain, faucets, towels?

Did you want the hollywood glamorous look? Use a crystal chandelier, pale blue green and gray color scheme. You can use long sconces on either side of your mirror. Look on HGTV at save my bath they did a hollywood bath episode. Episode was called icky industrial bath.

I am 13 and was thinking about re-doing my bathroom, which is down the hall from my room.
It's not big at all, when you walk in theres just a mirror and two sinks to your right and a shower and toilet right in front of you, so I can't go all and out with it, just paint the walls and get curtains or something.

I was thinking about painting it a nice light yellow color, but I need ideas.

I'm moving into a new house and am decorating my bedroom in a patriotic/americana type theme. I don't want to copy that in the master bathroom but I would like some ideas on what would look good with that. Thanks for all ideas!

The walls are nuetral and the towel racks and floor are all wood. There is a garden tub in one corner, a stand up shower in the other and two separate vanities.

How about a stars and moon type theme or an ocean type theme, the blue from either would carry over the blue from your bedroom, but still be different, you don't have to go with the generic theme stuff they sell at the box stores either you can paint the walls a shade of blue you like and free hand or stencil the designs you like, and anything with a blue theme would be good for a master bath because blue is a relaxation color, and that's always good if you have a garden tub ;). other than that maybe just look at some magazines or websites with pics and see what appeals to you.

Does anyone know of any blogs, websites, etc…that deal directly with selling decorating items in turquoise & brown, or show pictures of people that did re-decorating in their home that they want to show off? I've Googled my heart out and can't find anything to satisfy my re-decorating hunger! LOL

do a search on a southwestern style. a light brown { maybe tan } with a turquoise border or pattern would be a start. ass a little silver if you want some accents. southwest Indian style is nice. hope this helps. also you may want to add a warm color like coral to the mix.

I'm renovating my original victorian bathroom. I am staining the original wainscotting to a mahogany stain. I'm looking for color matches that would go with the stain and stay within the victorian period. Are there any websites that show different bathroom color schemes?

I just did my master bathroom in a old meets modern design. I finally decided on a caramel color for my walls, vanilla color for the trim-work and Belgium chocolate for my accent color. I painted the outside of my claw-foot tub in this chocolate paint (the white porcelain looks great against it. I got a lot of great ideas from HGTV. (direct link to HGTV victorain site below) You can also do a web search (Victorian bathroom ideas) you will be shocked at what is available to you. Also try This Old Home magazine, it has good resources for restorations. Good luck.
